Successful Cesarean Myomectomies of Large Uterine Fibroids: Two Cases and a Literature Review

BACKGROUND:No standard guidelines have been specified for a cesarean myomectomy, and several centers remain divided on the justification to perform this procedure, especially large fibroids. Only few case reports published of myomectomy Here, we report 2 cases successful myomectomies fibroids (>15 cm) during 38th week pregnancy. CASE REPORT:We encountered primigravida patients, aged 34 36 years, respectively, with >15 cm in diameter. Using Pfannenstiel incision, performed both patients at term The surgeries were by gynecologic oncologist tertiary hospital. Both experienced postoperative decrease hemoglobin but neither required blood transfusion. Three days after operation, discharged from hospital good condition. One year later, their babies continued be health. did not experience chronic pelvic pain or menstrual abnormalities.
